The term “love is blind” was first used by the poet William Wordsworth in his poem, “Lines Written A Few Miles Above Tintern Abbey.� He wrote the poem after visiting the famous English spot on the River Wye. The poem describes how he saw a young couple sitting on some rocks, gazing into each other's eyes. Wordsworth felt that this was the perfect picture of true love.
